These terms apply to CounterDesk: the dashboard, the online stores we host for sellers, the services behind them, and this website. By using CounterDesk or this website, you agree to these terms.
1. What CounterDesk provides
CounterDesk is order management for online sellers in Sri Lanka. It includes a dashboard for orders, products, stock, customers, coupons and reports, and an online store for each seller. We set up your store and settings when you join. Features may change and improve over time.
2. Who can use CounterDesk
CounterDesk is for businesses and individuals selling in Sri Lanka. The Launch Offer is by application, and we may accept or decline any application.
3. Your account
Keep your login details safe and do not share them. You are responsible for everything done through your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it.
4. Plans, billing and the price lock
- Plans are paid in advance, monthly or yearly, by bank transfer.
- Prices are in Sri Lankan rupees and are shown on our pricing page.
- Launch Offer prices stay the same for 12 months while your subscription stays active. If the subscription lapses or is cancelled, the price lock ends.
- There is no setup fee.
- We may change Standard Plan prices for the future. We will tell you before a change affects you.
5. Refunds
- Monthly plans are not refundable.
- Yearly plans: if you cancel within 14 days of your first yearly payment, we refund it in full. After 14 days, and for yearly renewals, payments are not refundable.
- When you cancel, CounterDesk keeps working until the end of the period you paid for.
6. SMS credits
SMS messages use prepaid credits. Credits do not expire while your account is active. They are not refundable.
7. Late payment and suspension
If a payment is more than 7 days late, we may suspend your account. While suspended, the dashboard is paused and your online store shows that it is unavailable. Your data is kept, and everything comes back when the subscription is paid.
8. Cancelling
You can cancel at any time by contacting us. After cancellation, we keep your data for 90 days so you can ask for a copy. After that, we delete it.
9. Your data and content
Your products, orders, customer lists and store content belong to you. You allow us to store and process them only to provide CounterDesk to you. See our Privacy Policy for details.
10. Your store and your customers
- You are responsible for the products you sell, your prices, delivery, returns and dealing with your customers.
- You are responsible for how you use your customers' information, and for following the law, including data protection and tax laws.
- Your store includes Privacy, Terms and Shipping pages with starting text. Review and edit them so they match your business.
- If you connect your own domain, you are responsible for the domain and its settings.
11. Acceptable use
Do not use CounterDesk to sell illegal or harmful goods, to mislead or defraud anyone, to send spam, or to try to break, overload or get around the security of the service. We may suspend accounts that do.
12. Profit figures and order warnings
Real profit is worked out from the costs and rates you enter, so it is only as accurate as those numbers. Order warnings, such as flagged customers, help you spot risky orders, but they cannot stop every fake or refused order.
13. Other services
CounterDesk works with other services, such as payment gateways, couriers, SMS and email providers. Their own terms and fees apply, and we are not responsible for their services or outages.
14. Availability and support
We work hard to keep CounterDesk running smoothly, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors. Support is available on WhatsApp during business hours.
15. Our responsibility
CounterDesk is provided “as is”. As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect losses, such as lost sales or profit. Our total responsibility for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim.
16. Our intellectual property
The CounterDesk software, name, logo, website and content belong to us. You may share links to our pages, but please do not copy our content or software.
17. This website and our blog
Information on this website can change, and the details we confirm with you before you sign up are the ones that apply. Our blog posts are general guides, not professional, financial or legal advice. Links to other companies' websites are not endorsements.
18. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will update this page and the “Last updated” date, and tell sellers directly about important changes. Continuing to use CounterDesk means you accept the updated terms.
19. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka.
