Best courier services in Sri Lanka for online sellers

· 3 min read · Last checked October 2026

In short

For island-wide delivery with cash on delivery (COD), Koombiyo, Pronto and Domex are strong choices; ask Prompt Xpress about COD before you sign up. For same-day rush orders in town, use PickMe Flash. Always ask for current rates and how often they pay your COD money.

What should you look for in a courier?

  • Cash on delivery: can they collect cash, and how often do they pay it to you?
  • Coverage: do they deliver to every district you sell to?
  • Tracking: can you and your customer see where the parcel is?
  • An easy dashboard: can you book pickups and see all parcels in one place?
  • Returns: what do they charge when a parcel comes back?

Koombiyo

Koombiyo is a well-known name among online sellers. It has a large network of riders and a brand that customers recognise around the country. Signing up is easy, and the online dashboard makes it simple to send parcels and track them. We used Koombiyo when running our own online store and found the service very good.

Pronto Lanka

Pronto offers a cash on delivery service built for online sellers, with delivery and cash collection. It says it has more than 55 branches and collection centres, and doorstep pickup is free.

Domex

Domex has an e-commerce delivery service with cash on delivery. It says it settles your cash every 15 days and sends daily delivery updates. It also offers same-day delivery within Colombo 1 to 15 for urgent items.

Prompt Xpress

Prompt Xpress delivers documents and parcels anywhere on the island within 24 hours, with same-day pickup and delivery in main towns and online tracking. Its website does not mention cash on delivery, so ask them before you rely on it for COD orders.

Rush orders: PickMe Flash

For a customer who needs the order today, use PickMe Flash. It delivers within the same day, or even the same hour, by bike, three-wheeler or car, and the price depends on distance and vehicle. It works best inside a city, not for island-wide orders.

Ask two or three couriers for their current rates for your usual parcel weight and districts. Prices change, and the cheapest is not always the best.
